Oh My Gosh...Our Daughter Has A Mohawk

Ivy Kate's hair just keeps a growing and with the cowlick in the back...it looks as if she has a mohawk. I tried to take some pictures this morning to get the full effect. She was chillin' in her frog pajamas in her Boppy!

Hopefully, the rest of her hair will catch up, so she won't have a mohawk in kindergarten!

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend was lots of fun. We went out to eat 4 times! We went to two cookouts! We had company in from out of town! And we got to hang out with Daddy for an extra day!

I was trying to take a photo of Ivy Kate's dress before we went to the neighborhood cookout, but I wasn't successful. So, this is the best I could get.

I hope everyone else had as a great of Memorial Day Weekend as we did!

Luke's High School Graduation

This past weekend my little brother Luke graduated from Starkville Academy. We're so proud him! Here is a picture of my family. Luke was trying to pick up chicks with Ivy Kate!

New Pics of Little Miss Ivy Kate

It is hard to think that Ivy Kate has been here for almost a whole week. We've had so much fun and have enjoyed all the family that came to meet our little sweet pea. Ivy Kate has also enjoyed all the loving she has gotten while everyone was here. I just wanted to share a few pics, but don't worry...there will be plenty more to come.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, IVY KATE!

This is Heather. Ashley asked me to post the exciting news: Sweet Ivy Kate has arrived!

Ashley called at noon to tell me the good news. She sounded GREAT! Ashley said she is precious with a head full of brownish hair.

She went in this morning at 6:30 to get induced. Last night she told me it would probably be later this afternoon, so when she called at noon I was not expecting Ivy Kate to already be here!
I am going to the coast sometime in the next few days to meet her...I can't wait!

Baby on the Way...

We just got back from the doctor and if Ivy Kate doesn't come by Monday...we are scheduled to induce that morning. It is finally setting in that she will be here next week.

We're so excited!

Please keep us in your prayers during this truly exciting time as our family is about to expand!

38th Week Doctor Visit

Well, I went back to the doctor today and he said I am making some progress, but have not dilated yet.

I go back next Tuesday.

I asked him what happened if I made it till the 6th and still no baby and he said I could induce then. So, if she isn't here by the 6th...maybe the 7th or 8th. He said we would talk about it at the next visit on Tuesday.

We'll just have to wait and see!

Our First Child...Wilson

Our first child is cute as a bug with lots of personality. He came into our lives two years ago and keeps us highly entertained.

John and I have been talking about what our little man is going to think of his new sister. John thinks he is going to be upset at first, but then he thinks Wilson will be protective of her. I am not sure how he is going to react.

He loves her room. He hides under her crib. He loves all of her stuff...especially her toys and socks.

I'll let you know if the weeks to come how he reacts to his world being turned upside down!

37th Week Doctor Visit

Well, I went to the doctor yesterday and he said that he thought she would come close to her due date. I am getting anxious. John is good at waiting. He is a lot more patient than I am. Even if she comes on her due date, that is only two weeks! The countdown has really begun!

I go back next Wednesday, so I'll keep you updated!

Finally...Ivy Kate's Room

Well, I have been working on getting this blog thing going for a while now, but here are the pictures of Ivy Kate's room. We sure hope she likes it!

We went to the doctor last week for our 36 week check-up and he said he doesn't think she is coming in the next two weeks, so I'll keep you updated.

We're getting so exctied as the time draws near!

Baby's Room and Last Doctor's Visit

Well, we have been busy trying to get everything together for Ivy Kate's room. The chair we ordered should be in next week. I am so excited to have everything start coming together. I will post some pictures once it is complete.

We went to the doctor last week and he said she is doing good. He listened to her heartbeat and asked if I wanted him to get the doppler, so I could hear it. I told him that if he could hear it and I could feel her limbs coming out of my abdomen...then I assumed she was doing good. We go back next Tuesday for a sonogram and we will find out how big she is.
