Happy Birthday, John!

Today is John's 28th birthday. We had a "surprise" family birthday party last night. We pulled it off somehow without him figuring it out. Ivy Kate was thrilled about eating cake and wanted to eat it before John got home. Isn't his cake cute? It was so good too!

John took IK to preschool today and he called to say she threw a FIT in the parking lot because she didn't want to wear her coat. What a way to begin your birthday!

4 Months Old (A Little Late)

Maggs went for her 4 month check-up a few weeks ago. She did great and only cried for a little bit after the shots. She has started eating rice cereal and seems to like it ok. She is such a sweet baby and loves her sister SO much. She lets IK get away with a lot before she cries.

12 pounds, 1 ounce
24 1/2 inches long

Ivy Kate loved being Minnie Mouse this year. She had so much fun! She didn't eat anything, but candy for supper last night. When we got home last night, she headed to her room. When I went to check on her, she was in the bed with the covers pulled up...but still in full Minnie Mouse costume!

Roll Over, Roll Over

Maggs started rolling over when she was 3 months and 3 days old. She rolled over 3 times that day and has been rolling ever since. It has been interrupting her/our sleep too. She rolls over in the middle of the night and gets mad! She has been sleeping through the night for a good while now, so this has been very frustrating to Mama! :)

Baby George

Baby George and Gracie came over to visit the other day. Ivy Kate was giving George kisses. Ivy Kate pronounces his name so funny...it is like she has an accent. I love this picture...his face is priceless!

Mouse Pancakes

Ivy Kate's sweet Daddy made her a Mouse pancake the other night for dinner. She loves her some Mouse! Nothing better than pancakes for dinner!

We started potty training Ivy Kate and it has been eventful around our house. We have a doll that tee tees, so we can show her what to do and then she could eventually figure it out. She has tee teed on the potty three times so far. We will see how tomorrow goes!

Ivy Kate's Big Girl Room

Ivy Kate loves her big girl room. It was an easy transition from the crib to the big girl bed. I was scared that the transition was going to be awful, but she did great. The furniture in her room was John's when he was little. Thanks to John again for painting the room!

Pajamas and Pig Tails Tuesday

Ivy Kate was finally still enough for me to do pig tails. The trick for getting her to be still was letting her watch Dora. Thanks, Aunt Laurie, for the cute dress!

Dress Up Monday

Ivy Kate has had her "dancing" skirts on all day! When she puts them on, she starts saying "dance" and twirls around. She likes to wear both of them at the same time. She has her cell phone in her hand, so she is set! :)

Blue Fish

The newest addition to our family is now Blue Fish. We decided to get Ivy Kate a fish. When we left Petsmart with our new pet, we asked Ivy Kate what she wanted to name him and she said precisely, "Blue Fish!" So Blue Fish it is! John and I are just hoping that he makes it, so we don't have to go find another Blue Fish!

This Little Piggy Went to the Doctor

So we took Maggie for her two week appointment this morning. She weighed in at a whopping 8 pounds and 12 ounces. She measured in at 20 1/4 inches. She has been sleeping really good at night, so I was curious to see how much she weighed to make sure she was getting enough food. Well, I guess I got the answer! :) And on the hair issue, I think we may have another mohawk on our hands!

Maggie Ruth joined the Benjamin clan on June 26th. She weighed 7 pounds and 8 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. She is too sweet and has lots of hair! Ivy Kate is in love with the baby! (Maybe it will stay that way!) More pics to come!
